Mark your Calendars: The 8th annual Diablo Golf Classic is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, CA. In its first seven years, the Diablo Golf Classic has raised more than $30,000 and has donated 100% of the net proceeds to various non- profit organizations. This year’s goal is to raise $15,000 for Point the Way Foundation. The Diablo Golf Classic was started in 2008 as a way for golfers of all skill levels to play in a fun, scramble-format golf tournament. As the event has grown and evolved, it has turned into a highly anticipated fundraiser with more and more golfers, sponsors and volunteers joining each year. This year organizers anticipate a full course with 140+ golfers and approximately 30 volunteers – all doing something they enjoy while helping to raise money for charity. Tournament organizers are currently seeking donations and sponsorships for this year’s golf classic. All contributions are tax-deductible and will help make an impact on the lives of others.
