Applicant must be 17 years or older.
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
Applicant must be admitted to and entering his or her first year of or be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in pursuit of a post-secondary degree (Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Equivalent Degree). The accredited college or university must be located in the United States, present formal instruction as its primary function, normally maintain a regular faculty of qualified teachers and a regularly scheduled curriculum, and normally have a regularly enrolled body of students in attendance at a campus where educational activities are regularly carried on (“Eligible Institution”).
If a scholarship is granted to Applicant, Applicant must use the scholarship for study at an Eligible Institution. Funds will only be payable to Eligible Institution.
Applicant must have and maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (“GPA”) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 non-weighted scale. If GPA is below 3.0, future payment installments will not be made (when applicable).
First-Year college or university applicants must have attained a Standard Aptitude Test (“SAT”) minimum score of 1100 or a minimum American College Testing (“ACT”) score of 22.
Applicants who are first-year college or university entrants must submit a complete, official, school-issued high school transcript of grades (with official seal marking). Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted. High school transcripts must be converted to a 4.0 GPA scale.
Applicants who are currently enrolled at an Eligible Institution must provide an official transcript of grades (with official seal marking). Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted.
Applicant must submit at least one letter of recommendation from a non-family member individual. Such individuals include: a high school or college counselor, teacher, coach, principal, vice principal, clergy or supervisor (at Applicant’s place of employment). The online recommendation letter must come from the declared author’s email address.
Recipients will be required to furnish Point the Way with a progress report indicating courses taken and grades received during each academic period for which the proceeds of the scholarship are used. Upon review of such progress report(s), or Applicant’s failure to submit a required report, Point the Way shall investigate whether the scholarship has been used in accordance with applicable requirements and, if it is discovered that all or any part of the scholarship funds are not being used in accordance with applicable requirements, Point The Way may withhold further payments (if any remain) to Applicant’s educational institute.
